Thompson Presented 2023 ICAS Sword of Excellence | December 21st, 2023 |
 During the annual Chairman’s Banquet on the last night of the convention, ICAS member and longtime event organizer Bobbi Thompson was named the 2023 recipient of the ICAS Sword of Excellence.
Helping to organize dozens of events from Florida to Nevada, Thompson is a dedicated and selfless air show advocate and volunteer. She has mentored dozens of air show newcomers and has served ICAS and the air show industry in many roles. There is not a committee she has not offered to help with or a difficult task she has been unwilling to undertake to support the air show community.
The 49th recipient of the Sword of Excellence, Thompson joins a list of past recipients that includes Paul Poberezny, Bob Hoover, Charlie Hillard, Art Scholl, Duane Cole, Bill Bordeleau and Leo Loudenslager.
