Road Trip: Stunt pilot edition | July 19th, 2015 |
Fox News's Anna Kooiman goes up, up and away with Lt. Col. John Klatt. By Anna Kooiman You better buckle up! The next 'Road Trip' installation takes us on a wild ride. Producers gave me a once in a lifetime experience sitting in the cockpit with Lt. John Klatt of the Air National Guard. Although nervous the entire car ride from NYC out to the Long Island air strip, I knew I was in good hands. Before wowing crowds on the air show circuit, producers told me he used to fly F-16 fighter jets and is a true patriot having served three tours in Iraq carrying out multiple combat, support, and humanitarian missions. When we were introduced, Lt. Klatt seemed so nice and gregarious. He made me feel super comfortable and the nerves turned into butterflies. As we hit the skies, we did more twists, turns, drops, rolls than I can count! My favorite part of the ride was when we flew upside down for what felt like a full minute. Lt. Klatt even put me at the controls and taught me to fly. Want to see how I did? Click on the video link here: http://video.foxnews.com/v/4362239924001/road-trip-stunt-pilot-edition-/?#sp=show-clips
