USAF F-16 Viper Demo Team Returns to Skies March 21-22 in Melbourne, Florida | March 17th, 2015 |
LEESBURG, Va. (ICAS HQ) - The U.S. Air Force’s Air Combat Command (ACC), after a four-year hiatus, has authorized the F-16 Viper Demonstration Team to begin flying at air shows nationwide. Beginning March 21 - 22, 2015, at the Melbourne (FL) Air and Space Show, two F-16 “Vipers” will perform afull capabilities demonstration to kick off their 16-show season which takes them to 14 states and Toronto, Canada. Over 47 million people in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico will be within a 60-mile drive of a venue hosting the team. The F-16 will also take part in a three-ship Air Force Heritage Flight in formation alongside an F-22 Raptor, and a P-51 Mustang. It will be the only air show in 2015 to feature both the F-22 and F-16 together in an Air Force Heritage Flight.
