ICAS Launches Pinnacle Awards Program | October 9th, 2014 |
Good ideas and professional execution are the lifeblood of continuous improvement and long-term sustainability in the air show business. From marketing, sponsorship and hospitality to logistics, flight operations and volunteer management, a good idea – well executed -- can be the difference between success and failure, between making money and losing money, between long-term sustainability and a short-term failure. Beginning this year, ICAS will recognize those kinds of ideas, developments, innovations and improvements with its ICAS Pinnacle Awards program. Pinnacle Awards entries can be made in any area of air show operations and management. Whether it’s a new fundraising approach, an innovative solution to a nagging logistical challenge, a creative air show entertainment development or a new community partnership that changes the local dynamics for a long-established show, ICAS will recognize creative thinking, professional execution and demonstrable results. Each entry must be accompanied by a not-more-than-one page summary of the idea or program; all entries will be judged on the following criteria: principal purpose, innovation, feasibility, and project planning and documentation. Award recipients will be recognized during an awards luncheon on Wednesday, December 10 during the ICAS Convention in Las Vegas. Entry deadline is Monday, November 17.
