Nominations for the 2014 ICAS Foundation Air Show Hall of Fame are now open, according to Steve Oliver, Chairman of the 2014 Air Show Hall of Fame Selection Committee.
“This is an opportunity to recognize those who have brought the air show industry forward and who have inspired us all,” says Oliver, who is himself a 2011 inductee into the Air Show Hall of Fame.
Nominations may be submitted by any person or organization until August 1, 2014. The Air Show Hall of Fame is currently home to more than 50 air show greats, including pilots, event organizers, announcers, designers, builders, and other innovators who have changed the face of air shows forever. Past inductees include Bob Hoover, Leo Loudenslager, Betty Skelton, Duane Cole, Jim Franklin, Eddie Andreini, Paul Poberezny, and Art Scholl.
To make a nomination, download and complete the nomination application at www.icasfoundation.org. A selection panel designated by the ICAS Foundation Board of Directors will choose this year’s inductees shortly after the August 1 nomination deadline. The induction ceremony will be held during the annual ICAS convention in December in Las Vegas, Nevada.
