ICAS to Unveil Dynamic Pricing for 2022 Convention | April 15th, 2022 |
Registration discount deadlines for the 2022 ICAS Convention, December 12 – 15, will be determined using a new “dynamic pricing” model. Registration fees will vary from as low as $505 to as much as $695, depending on when a delegate registers and how many other members have already registered. (Note: Once again this year, delegates who reserve a room from the ICAS block of sleeping rooms for three nights or more will receive a $100 gift card, so the functional prices are actually $405 to $595.) As an example, convention registration will open with registration fees of $505 per delegate and that fee will be available until May 31 or until 225 delegates have registered at that rate, whichever comes first. The 225 threshold was created based on the number of registrations received in the past during this early registration period. The new pricing structure is intended to solidify budget projections and encourage members to register early for the convention. “We’re taking a page from some of our members and other event organizations,” says ICAS President John Cudahy. “It’s a system that has worked well for many shows and we’re eager to model best practice-type behavior for those thinking about using this sort of program for their events.” Registration for this year’s newly relocated convention will open in mid-May this year.
