PENSACOLA, Fla. - The U.S. Navy Blue Angels today announced the selection of their new Executive Officer for the 2017 - 2018 air show seasons. The Chief of Naval Air Training has selected Navy Cmdr. Matt Kaslik to succeed Cmdr. Bob Flynn. “Cmdr. Kaslik is a highly-qualified officer and outstanding leader,” said Cmdr. Ryan Bernacchi, Blue Angels commanding officer and flight leader. "The team will be sad to say goodbye to Cmdr. Flynn, but are also lucky to have had the opportunity to select such an outstanding and seasoned professional, such as Cmdr. Kaslik. I look forward to welcoming him to the Blue Angels.” Cmdr. Kaslik, 43, is a native of The Woodlands, Texas. He attended the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland, and graduated in 1995. He is a Naval Flight Officer and currently assigned to the U.S. Naval Academy.
