Federal Agencies Recognized by ICAS for Facilitating Arsenal of Democracy Flyover

WASHINGTON - Last December, during the 2015 ICAS Convention Chairman’s Banquet in Las Vegas, the ICAS Board of Directors presented a number of federal agencies with the prestigious ICAS Special Achievement Award in recognition of the work that they did to permit five dozen vintage military aircraft to fly down the National Mall and over the National World War II Memorial in Washington, DC, to recognize the 70^th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day on May 8, 2015.

Because some of those federal agencies were not able to send their representatives to Las Vegas in December, they were recognized during an awards presentation held in conjunction with the General Aviation Manufacturers Association State of the Industry press conference Wednesday, February 10, at the Newseum on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C.
