With just eight weeks until the first day of the 2012 ICAS Convention (December 10-13 at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas), ICAS reports that all of the statistical indicators are pointing to another successful event. From individual registrations and booth sales to seminar registrations and sponsorship, numbers thus far indicate a level of participation at, near or in excess of recent conventions in 2011, 2010 and 2009. As an example, 97 percent of the original 332 booths have been sold, with just ten booths still available on the entire 60,000 square foot exhibit hall floor. Sponsorship is ahead of last year’s record setting total. And total registrations are within four percent of last year’s torrid pace.
“In addition to being an important business meeting for the entire air show community, our annual convention is also an early indicator of the enthusiasm for the upcoming air show season,” said ICAS President John Cudahy. “And every indication that we have so far suggests that 2013 will be a very strong year for the air show business.”
