Although the ICAS Convention won’t begin for more than six months, ICAS recently began accepting registrations for the air show community’s single largest and most important business meeting. ICAS members who register between now and July 31 will pay $465, which is an $85 savings on the full registration fee.
This year’s ICAS Convention will shift forward one day in the week. That is, the Air Shows 101 course, welcome reception and initial break-out sessions will be held on Monday, December 10. The opening general session and preliminary exhibit hall sessions will be on Tuesday, December 11. The Marketing Competition Luncheon and second day of exhibit hall sessions will be on Wednesday, December 12. And the final exhibit hall sessions and Chairman’s Banquet will be on Thursday, December 13.
Also this year, ICAS will be offering a more robust schedule of break-out sessions on the day before the opening general session. Historically, the meat of the education program began on the same day as the opening keynote presentation and the first exhibit hall sessions. But, post-convention surveys indicated that most members were arriving on the day before to participate in the opening welcome reception. So, ICAS has opted to schedule and conduct a full schedule of 75-minute break out sessions earlier on that day. ICAS members can take advantage of these additional educational opportunities without incurring additional hotel expenses by arriving a little earlier in the day on Monday.
